In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top consumer finance apps on the Android platform in the UK showcased varying trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade maintained a consistent download pattern, starting with around 44K weekly downloads at the beginning of October, tapering off to approximately 35K by the end of December. Its active user base fluctuated, peaking at 2.6M in late November but dropping to 2.4M by mid-December before rebounding to 2.5M.

Monzo - Mobile Banking experienced a steady decline in downloads, beginning the quarter with close to 48K and ending with 33K weekly downloads. The app's active users saw a similar trend, with numbers starting at 4.1M, dipping throughout the quarter, and closing at 4.2M.

Lloyds Mobile Banking showed a gradual decrease in downloads from 31K to 16K by the end of December. Active users, however, displayed resilience, with fluctuations around 3M, peaking at 3.2M in late November.

Barclays UK had a stable download rate, averaging 13K weekly downloads, with a notable spike to 22K in early December. Active user metrics showed a slight decline from 3.2M to 3M over the quarter.

Finally, NatWest Mobile Banking recorded a modest download decrease from 15K to 13K weekly downloads, while active users saw an upward trend from 2.3M to 2.4M by the quarter's end.
